Who We Are

We are an assembly of believers in Jesus, who desperately want to know Him, follow Him and serve Him.

We believe we are called to bring the government of heaven and the kingdom of God to bear and be manifested in Prineville, Crook County, Central Oregon, Oregon and around the world (Matthew 6:9-10).

We believe we are called to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse (skin diseases) and cast out demons (Matthew 10:7-8).

We believe we are called to manifest miracles, signs and wonders on the earth and more specifically Crook County, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:29-31). To see people saved, healed and delivered from all bondages, burdens and cares that are carried through life.

In Short, we believe we are Called to be God’s representative, here on earth, to see that all He desires for us is accomplished (2 Corinthians 5;20). That the earth would be “filled with the glory of God”.

Our Core Values

Ekklesia

When most people think of church, they think of a building where people meet to worship, study the bible, fellowship, potlucks, etc.

But that’s not the New Testament concept of “church”. Our English word "church" is derived from the Greek word kuriakon, which means "belonging to the lord." It is NEVER used in the New Testament. Instead you find the word “ekklesia” meaning “a called out assembly”

Matt 16:18 says “ . . . Upon this rock I will build my “ekklesia” and the gates of hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven and whatever you bind on earth, will have been bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven”. Ekklesia is a Greek secular term used for governmental assemblies. This assembly had the right and responsibility to rule over the governmental affairs of the whole city.

Jesus was saying “I’m bringing my kingdom to earth and I’m deputizing you to bring and enforce my kingdom into and on earth. I want you to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper and cast out demons. I want you to tear down wickedness and evil, replacing those things with love, righteousness and my goodness and I give you my authority to do it.”

Awakened Church takes that mandate seriously.

Five Fold Ministry

Awakened Church operates according to the equipping model of Ephesians 4:9-13 “And He gave some as apostles and some as prophets and some as evangelist and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; UNTIL we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

The Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher don’t necessarily do the work of the ministry, but they do train us (you and me) to do the work of the ministry.

Some say “there are no apostles today!” Let me ask you a question. Have we (the church) “attain(ed) to maturity and unity of the faith? If you are honest, you have to say “no” . This Ephesians passage says the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher will be around until we are mature and in unity. I’m afraid this may take awhile!

And if you're thinking “Yes, but Paul knew that would never happen, so it’s just hyperbolie”. May I point you to 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is inspired by God . . .”

Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote Ephesians 4:9-13 and the Holy Spirit doesn't embellish with hyperbolies.

Miracle, Signs, Wonders and Deliverance

Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 10:1, 7-8, “ . . . (I give you) authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. And as you go, preach that the kingdom of heaven is at hand and heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. John 14:12 “Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the faither.

People will say “that was just for the disciples.” But in Matthew 28:20 Jesus told his disciples to teach people to do all that He command them to do. In other words when Jesus commanded His disciples to “heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper and cast out demons, He also commanded them to “pass it down the line and keep it going—down to you and me!
